Only1Tipy talks about his recent release “Free Slave”

We are sharing our recent interview with Only1Tipy. He has recently release and EP titled “Free Slave”.

Pro Media Mag : First of all tell us about the start of your music career.
Only1Tipy : Well I’ve been into hip-hop since 5th grade. I remember writing my first rhymes in class. In high school is when I started to go to studios to further my love for music. I met a label owner J-String through my high school friend Rochelle. We then started going to J- String studio all the time. I also spent time in my homeboy Droopy’s brother in law Greg studio. And after that recording with a childhood friend AT Alien we kept in touch throughout the years and ended up recording my first album “No Struggle No Progress” in a church which had a studio in it.

Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Only1Tipy : My inspiration came from labels and like No Limit Records, Cashmoney Records, So So Def, Slip N Slide, Deathrow, Rocafella, and many many more. But definitely those label took my love for music to new heights.

Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your recent release “Free Slave”?
Only1Tipy : Free Slave is my newest release on all major streaming platforms. It is a 5 song hard hitting ep that was mixed and mastered by Corey Ingram who also mixed and the Biggie (Notorious BIG) duets album as well as Jagged Edge song Good Luck Charm.

Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Only1Tipy : I’ve been receiving major support from my fans and supporters. People are actually appreciative about me opening up more in my music about my life experiences and struggles.

Pro Media Mag : What attracts you more, Working in studios or performing on stage?
Only1Tipy : It’s a equally joint love for both. I Love being in the studio working. I’m a workaholic. I’m in the studio at weeks at a time recording literally hundreds of songs. I’m a very creative person who has a lot of ideas that needs to be recorded. On the other hand I also love being in-front of my fans performing. I feel like it’s a assembly line of work. Create the product then take it out to the masses for them to enjoy. And then you see the benefit of the hard work you put into your craft.

Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being a music producer?
Only1Tipy : Well many people do call me a producer which I kinda understand where they are coming from. lol but to me producing was about creating the vibe the beat the feel for the record. But now I also realize you don’t have to physically push buttons or play instruments to be a producer. Putting a record together can be a job of a producer. Like Diddy he doesn’t physically play anything but his ear for music definitely puts him in the Category of producers. So I appreciate that because it took someone to show me that I was also a producer outside of being a rapper and songwriter.

Pro Media Mag : Have you set any goals to achieve?
Only1Tipy : My goals are to put others in a winning position not just in music and entertainment but in life. I want my reach to affect others in the world so that love, motivation, and awareness.

Pro Media Mag : Are you working on any new project?
Only1Tipy : Will trickle down to the next generation. I want to better not just my community but others as well. We all we got!!!
