We are sharing our conversation with fashion stylist and Creative Director Lamar Rice.
Pro Media Mag : First of all introduce yourself to our readers?
Lamar Rice : I am Lamar Rice (@Likelamar on Instagram & Twitter had to add the shamless plugs) and I’m a freelance stylist and lead stylist for diabloconglomerates
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into this industry?
Lamar Rice : When I used to live in New York my uncle was really into vintage sportswear, had a huge collection so I just started playing around with some fits and I fell in love with clothes and dressing myself/other people.
Pro Media Mag : So what kind of services you provide to your clients?
Lamar Rice : I do a variety of different services, such as personal shopping, lookbooks for existing closets and brands, wardrobe editing and also editorial styling.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being a fashion stylist?
Lamar Rice : The best part of being a fashion stylist is being able to express myself fully within my career, if I can do something I love everyday, I’m beyond happy everyday.
Pro Media Mag : You have run campaigns for different brands.Tell us about your recent ones?
Lamar Rice : I recently ran a campaign with TUFT to bring something new to the table, we decided to get still photos while we hosted a party for authenticity. It had an amazing turn out and we always work well together.
Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you have received?
Lamar Rice : I’ve recieved responses from good to bad, it just comes with the job. If you put yourself out there and your fits as much as I do then you’re sure to have people that love your work and people who just don’t like it, which is completely fine. All comments/responses are good to me.
Pro Media Mag : Have you set some target to achieve?
Lamar Rice : Honestly no, wherever life takes me is where it takes me. I see myself as successful in the future no doubt, but I don’t ever limit myself to something.
Pro Media Mag : Are you currently working on any other project?
Lamar Rice : I am currently working on a couple projects with my good friend Dante Solitro (@sxttings on Instagram & Twitter), I cant get too into what we have planned but just know that it’s coming soon…
