We are sharing our interview with Yoma James Kukor, an author, entrepreneur and investor.
He founded his current business in 2015 J.Beam Capital an investment consulting firm. So far he has served more than 1000 customers in more than 20 countries adding more than £500,000 in economic wealth to his customers.
Pro Media Mag : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Yoma James Kukor : My professional career was in compliance which I did since I left university, however I always knew that no matter what the job or how well it would pay I could never look at it as permanent because it has never been something I’ve ever wanted. Therefore, I have always had multiple side hustles going on because in my eyes being involved in a business is what I’ve always enjoyed since I was little. I remember selling gingerbread biscuits door to door when I was little, despite getting doors slammed in my face I had so much fun doing it. Additionally, I have always wanted my last name to mean something which is something very difficult to achieve working for someone else.
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to launch ‘James Beam Capital‘?
Yoma James Kukor :There is a number of people who inspired me to launch my business such as my Dad who I have already partnered with on a few ventures. There also the famous mentors I keep in high regards such as Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Jay Z and Robert F Smith. I think they are all doing something that I would love to do in the future, build impactful companies that help millions and loving what they do at the same time. This is in my eye’s life and what I’m striving towards.
Pro Media Mag : So what kind of consultancy services you are providing?
Yoma James Kukor : I’m providing investment consultancy services. Most of my clients come in struggling with how they can generate any meaningful returns on their money. Keeping all your money in a savings account doesn’t make any sense with most banks paying below 1% in interest. Most of my clients after our consultancy service generates between 8-20% annually depending on their risk tolerance level which is all explained during my sessions. So far, it’s gone really well, I have more than 1000 clients signed up and on average everyone is making money considering we have created around £500,000 in economic wealth for our clients.
Pro Media Mag : Your consultancy services are limited to some specific field of people?
Yoma James Kukor : There is no limitation because my sessions break everything down for each individual, catered with the best plan to match their tolerance, risk level and disposable income.
Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you have received so far?
Yoma James Kukor :Exceptional response so far, i have really been happy with it. More than 1000 clients have used my services and we have managed to add more than £500,000 in economic wealth to all our clients which is the most satisfying thing for me. Making money with my clients is the best feeling ever, seeing the satisfaction in their faces means the world to me, watching their portfolio grow with mine is the icing on the cake.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being an investor?
Yoma James Kukor :The best part of being an investor is being able to invest in a company you believe in and watching it grow to something only a few people could dream of. Having invested in more than 50 companies I have been very fortunate that only 1 of the companies I have invested in has gone bust. Nevertheless, my biggest success so far has been in the British digital bank Monzo. I invested in the company in 2016 when it was worth £30M today that same company is worth £2BN and its the fastest growing bank in the UK by some distance, so I’m really excited about how big Monzo can get in the next couple of years as it expands to different markets.
Pro Media Mag : You are an author as well. Tell us about your book ‘The Everyday Investor’?
Yoma James Kukor : The Everyday Investor was designed to help the average person profitably invest their money using proven strategies. In this book we break down the best ways to approach investing so that you have long-term passive income.

Pro Media Mag : Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Yoma James Kukor : I’m really excited about the homelessness programmes I’ve got planned for this year. Although I can’t rectify the problem by myself I’m a firm believer in doing what you can from your end how little or big this may be, if everyone had this mindset this problem would’ve been sorted already. However, complaining about the government not doing anything isn’t a solution to the problem in my eyes, only action today is. Currently with my book royalties I’m able to provide 100 – 200 sandwiches a month to the homeless which in my eyes is just the expansion of my previous philanthropic efforts, which I hope to increase in the coming months. I’m actually looking for a partner to set up a foundation so if any of the readers know anyone let me know.
Pro Media Mag : Are you working on any new project?
Yoma James Kukor : Yes I am, me and my partners have just raised £100K to set up a new hospitality chain which will launch in summer 2020. I also have a podcast coming soon called Money, Banter and Culture where we interview inspirational people on a weekly basis. The whole idea of this platform is to uplift as many millennials as possible by discussing important factors that dictate the world.
