We are sharing our interview with Abylay Zhakashov, an award winning film producer, writer and director.
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into entertainment industry?
Abylay Zhakashov : Since I was very little I always knew I wanted to do movies. I had a few different businesses, worked in different industries but finally landed where I am now.
Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your recent projects?
Abylay Zhakashov : There are 2 feature films that I am working on at the moment, recently we did a number of music videos, commercials. You will soon see them! Cannot tell much at the moment.
Pro Media Mag : What was the inspiration behind launching Broken Cage Studio ?
Abylay Zhakashov : I had a situation in my life when it was now or never. I am really glad I took the all the risks and used my chance.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being a producer?
Abylay Zhakashov : That you take part in the every aspect of the project from the first time you read the script to the time when it is in cinemas.
Pro Media Mag : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Abylay Zhakashov : Of course. I think it is really useful for the creatives, people in the business, in general for everyone for a personal growth to have the list of daily goals and long-term goals. Helps you to stay concentrated and not waste your time.
Pro Media Mag : Are you working on any new project?
Abylay Zhakashov : Yes, as I have mentioned I have two feature films that mean a lot for me. Stay tuned! You will see them, hopefully next year!
