We are sharing our recent conversation with a well experienced and highly skilled IT Expert Blake Rubin.

Blake Rubin

Pro Media Mag : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers?
Blake Rubin : Hello! My name is Blake Rubin and I’m a programmer and app developer in beautiful San Francisco, California. I specialize in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced voice recognition. I own and operate my own studio and I’ve been in business for myself for about 6 years now.

Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into this industry?
Blake Rubin : I don’t know if I can pinpoint any single person who has inspired me, I kind of took a page from the book of all the greats that came before me, both in software and in hardware. Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, all of them.

Pro Media Mag : How much you learnt from your education and what’s the role of your experiments and experience in your life?
Blake Rubin : Well, I think a formal education has a two-fold importance, but it’s not necessarily required. College can teach you the basics of your task and help you network with others in your industry, but it also serves as a proof of concept that you’re able to stick with a project for an extended period of time. That said, nothing can beat real world experience so if you’re the self-motivated type, get to coding. Programming is the kind of skill you can only acquire after hours of practice, so start early, code often, and decide for yourself if college is the right choice for you.

Pro Media Mag : It seems you want to take Artificial intelligence to some new levels ?
Blake Rubin : I certainly do. I think artificial intelligence has the potential to become a real paradigm shift, not only in the business world but in the day to day lives of all people. I picture AI traffic lights that respond in real time to driverless cars to eliminate gridlock. AI security systems that notify police in real time as soon as a crime occurs. AI garbage trucks that pick up smart trash cans which drove themselves to the curb when full. AI has the potential to dramatically improve just about every system we’ve come to utilize in daily life.

Pro Media Mag : What’s the best app you have created so far?
Blake Rubin : This is kind of cheating, but my greatest work is the app I’m working on currently. It’s basically a reimagining of the Dragon software that listens to your speak and converts your words into text. My version will listen to a room size area and record everything being said into one central transcript which can be translated instantly.

Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you are getting?
Blake Rubin : The response to my work has been incredible. I couldn’t ask for better validation than having my work adopted by the people I had in mind when I created it. It’s a great affirmation of my belief that this technology is going to become the next great wave of innovation.

Pro Media Mag : You also made research on cryptocurrency. So what are your thought about it’s future?
Blake Rubin : I think the real focus of crypto should be on blockchain. Blockchain has the potential to be a real game changer in the business world and potentially the final nail in the coffin for retail. It’s use in crypto trading is, in my mind, the only thing giving crypto any validity. That said, if you know what you’re looking for, cryptocurrency has the potential to reward savvy investors for their support of modern technologies. Just be aware that as time goes on, crypto will either be fully embraced or ignored. There is a lot of potential for growth, but also loss. Invest wisely.

Pro Media Mag : Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Blake Rubin : Find your passion and commit yourself to it. It doesn’t matter if you love wood carving or server administration. Find your niche, pursue your passion, and never apologize for your interest.

Pro Media Mag : What’s the best way to contact you?
Blake Rubin : I like to keep mostly to myself, but if someone really needs to reach me they can check out my website, http://www.blakerubin.net/. I periodically update with my latest thoughts on technology or projects I’m working on.
