Ciao, Roma! Ciao Tuscany! Emanuele Marani probably whispered those words as he left those two beautiful regions of Italy, where he grew up. When he left and came to Los Angeles, he had already had an enormous amount of experience in motion graphics, photography, drawing and filmmaking, among other things. Emanuele had worked for Fox in Italy right after he graduated from the Institute European Design (IED). While at the Institute, Emanuele studied under three giants in the graphic design universe: Lorenzo Ceccoti, the international designer, artist and cartoonist known as LRNZ, who is also world famous for his graphic novel Golem; Moira Abramzon, the art director and designer from Buenos Aires, and Florencia Picco, the creative and brand director for Fox International Channels Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Emanuele hasn’t never stopped do be updated about the evolution of the language and the software in the motion graphic world. By the way, he is fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect, Avid, 3D studio Max, Premiere, Flash and Protools, to name just a few programs. He has worked as a motion designer and animator and participated in the development of the promotional campaign for the new Fox L.S. TV show called Outcast. His work on that show’s logo and logo animation did not go unnoticed. The New York Festivals awarded Emanuele a bronze and a silver medal for his outstanding contributions. Promax also awarded Emanuele a Bronze and a silver for his design work.
Emanuele’s work has also been recognized by three key motion graphics websites: “Motion,” “behance.net” and “motionographer,” which is arguably the most important site in the business. Emanuele has worked in all phases of production including storyboarding, story concept, designing mood boards, pre-production and post production. And while he is always busy with his professional life, Emanuele does devote what spare time he does have to his own personal creative projects. Emanuele created his own font called Burstype and then he made a short film to promote it. We loved the font but we loved the video even more! It was vibrant, entertaining and a lot of fun!
